The graphics are surprisingly good, as is the sound, especially if you research the actual date that the game was written. This is the second RPG I ever bought (the first one being Diablo II) and it continues being one of my favorite games. If you enjoyed Diablo2 you should find some enjoyment in running around the huge map of Ascaron rescuing chickens & cows,etc. With the dwarf you can use guns & bombs, while the daemon has powers that make her the equal to swarms of goblins. Also the Gold version comes with the Underworld expansion which gives you 2 new characters to play with, a dwarf & a daemon.

It has more quests & less bugs than the Sacred Plus version. The gold version of this game is the only way to go. There are swarms of enemies to slay, over & over, until you do enough quests to put an area at peace. But if you decide to play fetch & do even part of the side quests, some of which are re ally dumb, "like my chicken ran away can you bring it back for me?" you will be in front of your computer for a long, long time. If you follow the main quest you will quickly find the end of the game. It's advertised as a 3D game but it is actually done in 2D with some graphical tricks to make it appear somewhat 3D. To describe this game in a nut shell it is just another Diablo wanna be Hack & Slash albiet with better graphics. Imagine a good ATI card would do the job just as well. In fact it should even work with a computer that only has a PCI video card-provided it is at least an Nvidia FX-5200. Because of the low system requirements it can be played well on a Pentium 4 with a lowly 1.6Ghz processor. Multiplayer adventuring is also supported, though a local network or over the Internet.įirst of all the main reason that purchased this game was for a friend who had an older PC. In all, Sacred: Underworld is said to add almost half again as much new content as was featured in the original game, including new chapters, side-quests, areas, and NPCs. Only thing i can think of really is Vet Mod which i use myself, it imitates an online match and scales everything up and pretends it is a full 16 player match instead of just solo, so yes it will be harder obviously:P. There also is/was an unofficial patch/expansion being made but the founder of the project is currenty inactive for some unknown reason from what i have read, that was sometime back in febuary, it's being worked on by a bunch of germans, look up ' Sacred Dark Bloods' they have a site to but it seems dead to me, not active since last year. There is a patch i forget the name of it but i think it is called Raven Rock patch? Was made by some russians, i do not have it currently installed myself though.
